111th Annual Summer Exhibition 20th - 28th June!
Cath Deeson is a British contemporary printmaker based in Broadstairs, Kent, who specializes in creating original, hand-cut, and hand-printed linocut art.
Her work is deeply rooted in the landscapes, culture, and coastal life of Kent, drawing heavy inspiration from local seaside towns like Whitstable, Herne Bay, and Broadstairs.
She studied art at the Kent Institute of Art & Design (KIAD) in Canterbury and later completed a degree in Printmaking & Social Sciences at Christ Church.
Deeson’s distinctive aesthetic is highly influenced by the mid-century 1930s Grosvenor School of Art style (such as Cyril Power and Claude Flight) as well as the bold, graphic 1950s book cover designs of Saul Bass.
Her pieces frequently feature whimsical, nostalgic coastal imagery, local wildlife, and community traditions.
