Deborah Russell

I grew up in a family of artists, but I followed a career the pharmaceutical industry until retirement. I studied Botany and Geography at University, so I have a deep love of how the land and flora impact each other. I also love life drawing and am a regular attendee at Deal Life Drawing.

I paint in acrylics, oils and watercolour. I have been developing my style over the years and I tend to analyse, simplify and reconstruct when I paint.

I love wild, lonely places, paths, angles, colour, shape and light. I hope to convey my joy in nature via my art.
