Draca Wilford

I am a surreal and visionary artist based in Kent, creating dark and dystopian paintings and drawings. I base my work on visions that come to me when I close my eyes or daydream. These visions are often very vivid and detailed. I create depictions of these visions, often surreal artworks with many different media. Sometimes oils, acrylics or gouache upon canvas, other times graphite and charcoal upon paper. 

In addition to these imaginary pieces, I find it important to study and paint natural landscapes as a practise exercise and as a reference to incorporate these forms into my surreal work. Other times, I use practices such as automatic drawing, writing, and painting to gain inspiration for my work.
