111th Annual Summer Exhibition 20th - 28th June!
After completing a Fine Art degree at Christ Church College in Canterbury in 1992, life then led me into a rewarding career in teaching, where I spent many years encouraging creativity and self-expression in others. Although teaching became an important part of my life, my passion for art never faded, and throughout the years I continued to develop my own artistic practice alongside my career.
Nature has always been at the heart of my work. Inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the sea, the character of animals, and the landscapes around me, I create artwork that reflects a deep connection to the natural world. The movement of water, coastal environments, and wildlife are recurring themes that continue to influence both the subject matter and atmosphere of my paintings. I work mainly with PanPastels, combining their softness and depth of colour with pencil and acrylic detail to create texture, movement, and fine definition within my pieces.
Today, I am pursuing my long-held dream of establishing myself as a professional artist. My work is a reflection of years of observation, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural environment. Through my art, I hope to share a sense of calm, curiosity, and connection with the world around us.
