A self-taught artist, Margaret enjoyed trying to capture the fleeting effects of light on the landscape and the ephemeral nauances of season and atmosphere.
Margaret had solo exhibitions at Broadstairs, Birchington and Deal libraries. Her work was accepted for exhibition with the socisty of Women Artists at Central Hall Westminster.
Margaret's paintings have been purchased by visitors from as far afield as New Zealand and she felt this was because she portrayed the landscape in a vibrant and clear true watercolourists style. In later life, Margaret developed skills in oils and these were also eagerly sought out by collectors.
