Sally Miller

I have been painting for pleasure for just over 30 years, using mainly oils, and cover a variety of subjects. I live in Broadstairs with my husband and have two married, grown up daughters and two grandchildren. 

When I was young, I always enjoyed copying other people's simple drawings but never really connected with art lessons at school. When given a blank piece of paper and told to paint a picture of the seaside, my mind just went blank! However, after doing different things for my children's birthday parties, my husband encouraged me to take up art lessons. So after my youngest daughter went to school, I started lessons with John Hughes. I used pastels at first but after trying oils, I was hooked. I really enjoy painting and the challenges it provides.
